Otavio Sayao, PhD, PEng, Principal, is a highly experienced civil engineer with more than 36 years of specialization in coastal engineering and management, erosion and sedimentation projects. During his career he has been involved in coastal and harbours engineering consultancy, including innovative breakwater designs and coastal protection techniques, beach and coastal zone developments, and evaluation of flooding hazards due to climate change and sea level rise. His experience includes working in Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, the Caribbean, Africa, Dubai and other South American countries.
